how to make a romantic paper flower backdrop hello and welcome to deko kitchen thank you for watching this video as many of you have asked how to make such paper flower backdrops i decided to make a tutorial about it these paper flowers are made of copy paper this type of decoration is not expensive; you just need some time and patience
for my flowers i use ordinary a4 paper with a strength of 80g/mâ² (20 lb. bond paper) you need 3 sheets of paper for the first 6 petals take all 3, fold them once in the middle and cut out the form of a petal from the folded edge cut the folded edge to separate the petals this is how the first petals look like now make a 2 cm cut in the middle of the edge repeat the whole process once again
again with 3 sheets of paper and cut out a slightly smaller petal you can download the template of the petals on my website here you can see the difference in size of the two petals and make a 1,5 cm cut in the middle of the edge then take another sheet, fold it crosswise and once again lengthwise and cut out a petal again
which is smaller than the petals before here you can see the difference in size again cut the folded edge to separate the petals make a 1,5 cm cut in the middle of the edge here you can see the difference in size of the three petals 4 small, 6 medium size and 6 big petals this is how the basic form of our petal looks like in order to make a rose pull the single petals over one blade of the scissors
the next step is the calyx therefor draw a snail shape on a sheet of paper and cut it out take the snail shape and roll it up using a pen now it looks like this let the paper extend a bit take the inner end of the paper and put some glue on it then stick the end to this side
now put some glue on these edges and the lid press the edges on the lid and wait until the glue is well dried in order to give the petal the natural look of a rose take the scissors and pull the end of the petal over the scissors' blade in order to give the petal depth apply a bit of glue to the cutting edge now take this small side of the cutting edge
and stick it to the other side (with about 0.5cm overlap) repeat the process with all petals when all petals are finished the next step is to assemble the petals take a sheet of paper and cut out a circle stick the calyx to the middle of the circle take the 6 medium-sized petals and stick them around the calyx, each one slightly above the other
here you can see how it looks like with the first 6 petals then take the 6 large petals and stick them beneath the medium-sized ones in a staggered fashion finally put some glue on the small petals and use them to fill the gaps around the calyx that's it! i hope you enjoyed the video thank you for watching!
i am looking forward to the next video see you next time!
